Hello everyone, and welcome to “The Grawlix CMS for Beginners.”
Although built with the average web comic creator in mind, the Grawlix CMS was also built with the assumption that most web comic creators would have a little website design know-how if they want to run a website. Fair enough, but most of us out there are dominating in the right brain versus the left, so we may not be a fan of coding, let alone have much experience past HTML.
That’s not a problem with the Grawlix CMS, however, because we’re going to cover what you’ll need to know right now.
PART 1: Setting up a website – This part will cover everything for setting up a new domain for your webcomic. If you already have a domain registered, and your erb host supports MySQL databases and PHP 5, then you can go to part two.
Part 2: Grawlix Prerequisites – This section covers everything you need to do prior to installing Grawlix, such as setting up a database with a user attached to it and accessing your File Manager. If you know how to do these things, then move on to part three.
Part 3: FTP and File Transfers – Every web host is different, but here we cover how to upload the Grawlix files and folders to your website from the back-end. If you already know how FTP works, or your web host doesn’t require FTP, then set up as required, and transfer the files. Then go on to part four.
Part 4: Firstrun of Grawlix – The last steps in configuring the Grawlix CMS for your webcomic.
